CAT-MIP Dictionary Integration in N-zo

The CAT-MIP Dictionary is integrated by default into the AI that powers N‑zo.

This means that when developers or MSP operators interact with N-zo, the system already understands the terminology and operational structures used in managed IT environments.

No configuration or setup is required.
The CAT-MIP dictionary is automatically applied during AI interpretation and response generation.

What CAT-MIP Is

CAT-MIP (Common AI Terminology for Managed IT Providers) is a standardized dictionary designed to help AI systems correctly interpret MSP concepts.

It provides structured definitions for common objects, actions, and relationships found in MSP environments, including concepts such as:

  • Tenants and tenant hierarchies
  • Endpoints and device ownership
  • Alerts and signals
  • Policies and policy drift
  • Automation actions
  • Service environments and infrastructure objects

By embedding these definitions directly into the AI layer, N-zo can interpret queries in the correct operational context.

How CAT-MIP Works in N-zo

When a user submits a request to N-zo, the system processes the request through several internal steps.

  1. User Input
A question, command, or prompt is submitted through the N-zo interface or an integrated workflow.
  2. Semantic Interpretation
The CAT-MIP dictionary is used to map terminology within the request to standardized MSP concepts.
  3. Context Alignment
The interpreted request is aligned with the customer’s MSP environment, including tenants, devices, alerts, and policies.
  4. System Query / Action Generation
N-zo generates the appropriate data queries, automation instructions, or recommendations.
  5. Response Generation
Results are returned using terminology consistent with MSP operations.

Example

User Prompt

Show me endpoints with patch drift across tenants.

CAT-MIP Interpretation

  • Endpoints → Managed devices
  • Patch drift → Device patch state deviating from expected policy
  • Tenants → Managed customer environments

Result

N-zo translates the request into the appropriate platform queries and returns actionable information aligned with MSP workflows.

No Configuration Required

CAT-MIP is automatically active in all environments using N-zo.

There are:

  • No settings to enable
  • No APIs to configure
  • No dictionaries to upload

The dictionary operates as part of the AI interpretation layer within the platform.
