CAT-MIP Standards Committee Roles & Responsibilities

Board Members

Board Members are stewards of the CAT-MIP terminology standard. They represent a small group of vendors, service providers, and IT professionals committed to shaping the future of AI interoperability across MSP and IT Pro platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and maintain the CAT-MIP terminology framework and relationship model.
  • Contribute to the supervised learning dataset by validating prompt examples and agent execution logic.
  • Identify and prioritize next-phase deliverables that increase value for the ecosystem.
  • Attend a 30-minute monthly board meeting to review progress, align on direction, and make decisions.
  • Act as champions for the standard within their organizations and the broader community.

Requirements:

  • Commit to use the CAT-MIP standards in their products or services.
  • Contribute to the evolution of the specification through feedback, term proposals, and validation.

Members

Members are individuals or organizations who share a mutual interest in advancing terminology for MSP and IT Pro environments. They help shape the direction of the standard through engagement and collaboration.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and provide feedback on proposed terms and relationships.
